Grounds Maintenance
Grounds Maintenance begins with spring cleanup. The spring is the perfect time to clean up any remaining leaves, trim and clean out perennials, remove storm damaged limbs, and lay down a fresh layer of mulch. CGM continues throughout the growing season to maintain turf areas by mowing, trimming, and edging as needed. As the growing season comes to a close in the fall, CGM recommends and can facilitate a thorough fall clean up and removal of leaves. We trim back all perennials, remove annuals, prune trees and shrubs as needed, remove leaves, and clean out gutters.
Shrub & Tree Trimming
Our Shrub and Tree Trimming Crew can trim and prune all trees, shrubs, perennials and groundcovers to maximize health, longevity and enhance overall beauty.
Landscaping & Projects
Our Landscape Projects Department can address any landscape or hardscape project or other beautification project (e.g. seeding and sodding, patio construction, retaining walls, grading, tree, shrub, perennial and annual installations, etc…). No project is too big or too small. CGM is equipped to ready and repair irrigation systems, power wash sidewalks and concrete, as well as repair potholes. If seeding or sodding is needed, our professional, uniformed crews can not only lay the sod, they can seed bare areas, provide you with detailed After-Care Instructions, and, if needed, come back to water to ensure the livelihood of the new turf area. As the winter holidays approach we can assist with special holiday lighting projects too.
Fertilizing & Weed Control
The spring is the right time to start fertilization applications. A good spring fertilizer and crabgrass control is the best way to get a jump on the season’s weeds. We recommend repeated fertilization applications with a pre - emergent herbicide in order to stop weeds before they start. In the fall we advise the use of a hearty root building winter fertilizer be applied to all turf areas.
Snow Removal & Ice Control
We are one of the area’s largest snow removal companies. We currently have over 4.5 million square feet of parking lots under contract for snow removal and salting, and 400,000 square feet of sidewalks. Also, the City of Peoria calls on us when the workload is too much for City personnel. No snow removal job is too big for CGM.
